Certified Transmission is a family-owned & operated shop that was founded in 1979 by then and current owner Peter Fink. Originally operating from a two-bay gas station that Peter opened with nothing more than his tool box and a $1,000, Certified Transmission has grown over the past 34 years into one of the largest suppliers of remanufactured automotive transmissions in the world. Certified Transmission owns and operates 14 retail locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri and is continually expanding with a network of distributors across the United States. Certified Transmission remanufactures transmissions at two plant locations, one in Omaha NE that has over 106,000 square feet and the other in Fort Dodge Iowa offering an additional 40,000 feet.

In total Certified Transmission employs over 400 employees whom are dedicated to our company's motto of “The Job Done Right. At The Right Price”. Combining a focus on remanufacturing transmissions that are of the highest quality and maintaining an unsurpassed level of customer service, Certified Transmission has repeatedly achieved national recognition by winning various prestigious awards normally not related to the automotive industry. One of these awards was the Better Business Bureau National Torch Award for Market Place Ethics presented in Washington D.C.

In addition to striving to ensure each and every customer is treated with respect, Certified Transmission is diligent in its effort to give back to the community. This has been achieved by various charitable efforts including supporting local high schools and Heartland Family Services. Certified Transmission has also worked closely with Teen Challenge, Community Alliance, and various other outreach programs.

As well as owning and operating Certified Transmission, Peter Fink serves on various committees and boards throughout the Midwest. These include Mayor's Round Table Discussions, Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association, Heartland Better Business Bureau, and Metropolitan Community College.
